Volunteer
Lake of the Woods Humane Society takes in city, county, and surrendered animals for Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota. We are a volunteer run, not-for-profit (501c), located at 501 1st Avenue South, Baudette, Minnesota, along the Canadian border. Because we receive no funding support from national animal organizations your support directly benefits the adoptable animals in your community.
We ask that individuals be self-motivated, are able to follow directions, work well with very little supervision and schedule regular hours. If you are unable to set a schedule or make a commitment, we can still use your help at special events and other more flexible areas.
We are always in need of volunteers who are committed, caring and ready to make a difference in the lives of animals and adopters. By joining our team of dedicated volunteers, you will be helping to place "Our Adoptables" into loving permanent homes, while positively impacting the community.
We look forward to working with you to find a volunteer role that matches your skills, interests, and schedule to our shelter's needs so that you can make a big difference in the lives of animals in need.
